Every woman has the right to a positive, enriching birth experience. She should be able to look back on her birth and experience feelings of happiness, joy and nostalgia. It is my goal to help a woman achieve that through educated choices and continuous, unfaltering support of her decisions and desires throughout her labor and birth.

The media has painted a very falsafied image of birth for American women. American women are often led to believe that drugs are necessary while in labor and to reject them is just crazy. They are led to believe that doctors know everything, and should be able to make all the decisions for the laboring woman and her baby. They are also led to believe that birth is excruciating and there is nothing pleasant about it. This is far from the truth.

It is my goal to educate women about their options and rights during labor and birth. I believe, that by providing unbiased information to the woman about the choices available to her, she will be empowered to make more informed decisions for herself and for her baby. I believe that being well-educated about the various procedures, protocols and interventions involved in American births before the impending birth can help a woman mentally prepare herself for the choices she may be faced with while in labor. By being well informed, she is more likely to walk away from her birth comfortable and happy with the decisions she made, and satisfied with her birth experience.
